Waiting times

The waiting times before you can take your first driving lesson will vary depending on whether you’re looking for evening and weekend or mid-week lessons, as well as the transmission type that you wish to learn on.

For the most part, manual lessons scheduled for the evenings and weekends have a waiting time between one week and ten days. For mid-week lessons this is likely to be within five working days for manual lessons or seven to ten working days for automatic.

Vehicle types

Depending on the available driving instructor in your local area, the vehicle that you will learn in will vary. Typically cars such as Minis, Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa vehicles are used by the driving instructors. The school offers both manual and automatic lessons, and all cars will be dual controlled.

iLearn driving instructors

iLearn driving school only offers work to ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors) rather than PDIs (Potential Driving Instructors). This means that iLearn learners can rest assured they won’t be paired with a trainee.

The driving school offers driving lessons with male and female driving instructors.

iLearn aims to ensure that you will have the same driving instructor and car if you book your practical driving test with this driving school.

Cancellations and refunds

The iLearn cancellation policy requires learners to give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel a driving lesson. Learners who don’t give this notice will be charged for the lesson. When cancelling a driving lesson, you must inform your driving instructor and not the iLearn school, and the school requests that you do so at a reasonable time of the day.

When cancelling a block lesson booking, you will be refunded in full for any unused driving lessons.

The driving school doesn’t accept any responsibility for financial transactions exchanged between a learner and their driving instructor until the driving school receives the funds.

Learners are encouraged to bring their appointment card along with them to each driving lesson. This appointment card will act as your receipt for block lesson bookings that you’ve paid for, and after every lesson, you will need to sign it to prove it was taken.
