Established in 1976, Mutual Driving School is a family-run driving school that offers high quality, yet affordable driving tuition across East London.
It offers a no-obligation trial lesson for £15, and has a choice of pay as you go lessons, intensive courses, Pass Plus and refresher courses. Many learners on Mutual Driving School’s intensive courses pass their test within one to three weeks, with guaranteed short notice test dates available.

Mutual Driving School has both male and female instructors available. The school only uses ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors) rather than PDIs (Potential Driving Instructors) who are still in training.
Mutual Driving School offers weekly pay-as-you-go lessons. A first trial lesson costs £15. After this, lessons from 08.00 to 16.00 on a weekday cost £25 an hour. Lessons at the weekend or after 17.00 on a weekday cost £27 an hour.
Mutual Driving School’s driving test fees start at £83. This includes an hour’s lesson prior to the test. If you’d prefer a two-hour lesson prior to the test, fees start at £103.
Mutual Driving School has offered intensive driving courses since it first opened in 1976. There is no extra charge. It also offers Pass Plus and refresher courses.
All intensive courses at Mutual Driving School are individually tailored to meet your requirements. Following a two-hour assessment lesson, one of the school’s instructors will provide an estimate of how many lessons it will take you to pass. Lessons can then be taken over a one to four week period (or over a longer period if required). There will be a guaranteed test date at the end of the course.

The school offers a first trial lesson for £15. There is no obligation to purchase further lessons after taking a trial lesson.
Cancellations and refunds
Mutual Driving School has a 72-hour cancellation policy. However, it claims to be flexible on this, offering to help and reschedule a lesson for another day should something come up.
