Why learn with One Week Driving?

One Week Driving began in 2007 as Learn More Driving School before changing its name to meet a demand for semi-intensive and intensive driving courses. Now it arranges over 10,000 driving courses a year across England, Scotland, and Wales and is one of the largest providers of intensive courses in the UK.

As a specialist in intensive courses, the school aims to book students in for short notice driving courses. A dedicated staff works to find and book students a theory test and a practical driving test so they don’t have to wait the usual two to three months.

One Week Driving’s service is targeted at people wanting to pass quickly, in as little as a week, and is open to drivers of all abilities. Home pick up is offered in all areas, so those looking to do their courses won’t have to spend extra money travelling to lessons.

Stats according to One Week Driving

Rather than waiting two to three month for their practical driving test, 90% of One Week Driving’s pupils take their test on a Friday, at the end of their week’s course. Those that don’t get a test slot for the Friday normally receive one early the next week.

One Week Driving locations

One Week Driving claims to cover 95% of locations in mainland UK.

Waiting times

Waiting times depend upon several factors. Which course you want to take, your location, and your desired transmission are but a few of the variables. You can enter your preferences on the website and are then directed to potential courses with start dates to book. These start dates are provisional until an ADI has confirmed their availability.

Vehicle types

One Week Driving offers courses for both manual and automatic licenses. What car you learn in will depend upon your instructor, as they teach in their own cars.

One Week Driving instructors

One Week Driving instructors use only qualified ADIs who are also DBS checked every time they renew their green badge. You will not be provided with a trainee or unqualified instructor. All instructors are self-employed and sub-contracted by One Week Driving.

As an intensive course provider, One Week Driving does not offer individual one-off lessons, or discounted block booking lessons.

Driving Courses

One Week Driving offers a range of courses including intensive courses, semi-intensive courses, refresher courses, and the Pass Plus course. Prices vary greatly depending upon how many hours you wish to pack in. Courses can be as short as five hours or as long as 45.

The Pass Plus course is offered at £210. All courses including the Pass Plus require a deposit which is paid to One Week Driving. The rest of the payment is then given to the instructor when you meet them.

Offers and promos

A purchase through One Week Driving gives cheaper access to the full range of features on the Theory Test Pro app.  You can get them for £1.99 a month instead of £2.99 a month.

There are various sale offers such as £20 off the 5-hour quick course, and one free theory and practical test resit built into most courses.

Cancellations and refunds

All courses require a deposit which is refundable if an instructor cannot be found for your desired start date. However, you must request this deposit back or else you may be assigned an instructor in the week following your desired course state. If you are assigned an instructor in the week following you will no longer be able to claim a refund.

Once a course is paid for you have 14 days from the day of payment in which you are entitled to a refund.

If a booked lesson that is part of the course is cancelled less than one week before the lesson date then the hours are forfeited and will not be made up during the rest of the course.

Any additional hours to the course that are arranged with an instructor and then cancelled will be payable to the instructor at their standard hourly rate.

Unused hours may only be refunded at the discretion of the instructor. The calculation of any refund will be based on charges of £25 an hour.

If an instructor feels you are not ready to take your test due to safety reasons then they won’t allow you to take your test. You will lose your test fee and won’t be offered a refund of any unused hours or any deposit on test fees.
